DAN QUALIFYING EVENTS

FOR NATIONALS’

TEAM SPARRING AND/OR TEAM HYUNG:

 UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE

Dear Studio Owners,

Please pass this information on to all your students who wish to try out for the R2 National Team Sparring and Team Hyung for the upcoming Nationals. 

Starts tomorrow at 3 p.m.  until 5 p.m. at the Springfield HQ Dojang.

Please be there and ready to go at 3 p.m.

For all Region 2 Dan members who wish to try out for this year's Nationals Region 2 Sparring Team there will be two qualifying events one will be held on Saturday, May 17th in New Windsor, NY (from 1 to 3 pm).

The other date will be Saturday – May 31- 3 pm – 5 pm at HQ in Springfield NJ. 

If you are interested in trying out for this year’s Nationals’ Sparring Team, you must attend and participate in at least one of these events.

If you have a Hyung Team (Junior, Adult or Senior) that would like to represent Region 2 at the Nationals this would be the event to demonstrate/try out, as well.  

Please contact your Regional Examiners: Denise Mullin Sa Bom Nim or Cort Stinehour Sa Bom Nim if you are interested or plan on attending any of these events.  The Regional Examiners will need your name, rank, dan bon and age.

****Please notify the Regional Examiners if you are interested but cannot attend any of the planned events.

Began training in 1967 at the age of 16, as a member of the Brooklyn Highland Park Y.M.C.A., under the guidance and training of Mr. Mike Masley, Jr., Dan Bon 10180, and tested for Cho Dan on June 18, 1969.  Now a certified 4th Dan Ko Dan Ja, and was issued his original testing date Dan Bon 13927 by Kwan Jang Nim H.C. Hwang based on his petition to honor that date and evidence showing Mr. Mike Masley and his instructors,  Mr. Robert Sohn, Dan Bon 6037 and Mr. Vincent Nunno, Dan Bon 7291, were legitimate representatives of the Founder, and Kwan Jang Nim Hwang Kee and the Korean Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Association in 1969.
