Just a Reminder for everyone in Region 2.  Dan Shim Sa is scheduled for Saturday, April 29th, 2017, to be held at the MDK HQ in Springfield, NJ.

Please contact any of your regional examiners if you have any further questions.

FRIDAY– April 28th:  Ko Dan Ja Candidate Evaluation/Training
*** ALL SAM DANS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND ***
Time: 7:30 PM
Location: Moo Duk Kwan HQ
Please contact the Regional Examiners in ADVANCE if you are attending this evaluation.
****This is a MANADORY evaluation if you are a 2017 Ko Dan Ja candidate.****
The Regional Examiners have requested that the above information be shared with all Sam Dan and Ko Dan Ja members.
Schedule for the day of the Shim Sa:
SATURDAY – April 29th:
Location: Moo Duk Kwan HQ
7:45 – 8:15 AM Registration & Photos for Ee Dan, Sam Dan and ADULT Cho Dan (15 yrs &  Older) Candidates ONLY
8:15 – 8:30 AM Dan Shim Sa Line Up and Start Time for Ee Dan, Sam Dan & ADULT Cho Dan Candidates ONLY
10:30 – 11:00 AM Registration & Photos for Cho Dan Candidates 14 & Under ONLY
11:00 – 11:15 AM Dan Shim Sa Line Up and Start Time for Cho Dan Candidates 14 & Under ONLY
Immediately following:  Studio Owners/Examiners Meeting
Please Note:  All candidates are required to have their photo taken – PRIOR to the start of their Shim Sa session.

Attached please find the 139th Dan Shim Sa informational packet. (not attached to this announcement)
 
We ask that you please read this email AND the attachments carefully as there are CHANGES!
CHANGES include:
  • Date change – Shim Sa will be held on Saturday, April 29th.
  • Testing group change – Two sessions (see attached):
    • 1st session:   ALL Ee Dan and Sam Dan candidates and ADULT Cho Dan candidates (15 and older) ONLY.
    • 2nd session: CHILDREN Cho Dan candidates (14 and younger) ONLY.
  • Fee changes – Testing fees have increased.  Please submit the correct testing fees on the NEW form (see attached).
  • Submission of paperwork – this change began in October, but not everyone followed it – if packets are not submitted correctly, they will be returned for re-submission (see attached).
Again, the Regional Examiners ask that you read the attached packet carefully.  If you have any questions about the packet or the upcoming Shim Sa, please contact Mullin Sa Bom Nim or Stinehour Sa Bom Nim.

About Roberto Bonefont Sr

Began training in 1967 at the age of 16, as a member of the Brooklyn Highland Park Y.M.C.A., under the guidance and training of Mr. Mike Masley, Jr., Dan Bon 10180, and tested for Cho Dan on June 18, 1969.  Now a certified 4th Dan Ko Dan Ja, and was issued his original testing date Dan Bon 13927 by Kwan Jang Nim H.C. Hwang based on his petition to honor that date and evidence showing Mr. Mike Masley and his instructors,  Mr. Robert Sohn, Dan Bon 6037 and Mr. Vincent Nunno, Dan Bon 7291, were legitimate representatives of the Founder, and Kwan Jang Nim Hwang Kee and the Korean Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Association in 1969.
